Loudspeaker having a variety of shapes and sizes, allowing you to listen to music during a concert, or listen to sermons and religious ceremonies, listening to earphones / headphones on your iPod, enjoy a movie or hear a friend’s voice over the phone, etc.
To convert electrical signals into audible sound, loudspeaker contains an electromagnet: a metal coil creates a magnetic field when an electric current flows through it.
Loudspeaker parts :
1 . Cone
2 . Electromagnet ( coil )
3 . permanent magnet
On the loudspeaker, the electromagnet is placed in front of a permanent magnet. Permanent magnets will remain in the position-not moving while the electromagnet mobile. Since the electric current through the electromagnet coil, the magnetic field direction will change and there will be vibration due to tensile departure from the permanent magnet.
Electromagnet connected with Cone made from flexible material that will reinforce this vibration, pumping sound waves into the surrounding air, and can be heard in your ear .
To reproduce all the different frequencies of sound, the best quality loudspeaker cones usually use different sizes depending on the frequency of high, medium or low .
Microphone uses the same mechanism with Loudspeaker in inverted condition to convert sound into electrical signals. In FACT, you can use a pair of headphones as a microphone ! ‘ve Ever tried ? ?
